All-New Somersby Sparkling Rosé Arrives in HKSAR with Twist of Elegance

Somersby, HKSAR’s best-selling cider brand, launched the all-new Somersby Sparkling Rosé at a glamorous event held at Tsim Sha Tsui’s The One last Friday just in time for the festive season. Building on the familiar refreshment you can expect from Somersby, Somersby Sparkling Rosé brings innovation to the cider category as a casually elegant variant for sparkling wine lovers seeking a lighter, refreshing experience perfect for all social occasions.

Available now at leading restaurants and bars, followed by retail in December
Somersby Sparkling Rosé is a new addition to the Somersby brand, crafted with a blend of rosé wine and apple cider and set at a lighter 4.5% ABV. Inspired by the flavours and structures of sparkling wine, this unique blend of Somersby’s signature apple cider with rosé wine marries the brand’s familiar juicy apple aromas with wine’s rich textures for a refreshing and delicate flavour. The perfect balance of juicy red berry flavours and pleasant acidity, as well as refreshing floral aroma on the nose and intense fruity aftertaste, create a truly unforgettable experience.

At the launch event, Kelvin Cheng, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Hong Kong Limited, announced that Somersby Sparkling Rosé has been available in more than 100 bars and restaurants since the end of October and received with great enthusiasm. Availability will expand to more than 150 restaurants and bars by the end of the year in conjunction with a specially-designed Somersby Sparkling Rosé glass, allowing Hong Kongers to experience the casually elegant rosé cider in every occasion and with different cuisines.

"After successfully launching Somersby Apple Cider six years ago, Somersby is pleased to introduce a long-awaited new variant, Somersby Sparkling Rosé, designed to appeal to both Hong Kong’s young savvy consumers and mature sophisticated tastebuds. It will transform the public perception of rosé wine – by removing constraints of occasion and price, this is an elegant drink that can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime casually,” said Cheng.

Somersby Sparkling Rosé will also be available at major supermarkets and convenience stores in December, allowing you to enjoy a casually elegant touch at every festive moment this fall and winter, including Christmas, New Year Eve and Valentine's Day. It is also a relaxing complement for get-togethers with friends, picnics and barbeques.

New positioning for elegant moments at your leisure
Rosé wine is traditionally viewed as a premium drink inaccessible by the general public because of its high price point. By contrast, Somersby Sparkling Rosé combines an alluring all-natural apple aroma with delicate bubbles and just the right ABV levels in a subtly elegant bottle. At 330 ml, a bottle of Somersby Sparkling Rosé is enough to satisfy consumers seeking light refreshment. Not only is Somersby Sparkling Rosé lighter than traditional wines, but its more affordable pricing and lower 4.5% ABV make it the perfectly elegant drink to be enjoyed at leisure in all kinds of occasions.

Somersby provides an refreshing option for consumers unsatisfied with traditional beers and wines. It is perfect for happy hours, dinners, and gatherings with friends, and delivers a refreshing taste when paired with snacks and a variety of dishes.
